ARIZONA:
Arizona is now attracting residents and investors from across the U.S. and across the border at such a pace that it is now the fastest-growing state in the country, replacing Nevada, which was the fastest growing state for 19 straight years.
A few of the key factors influencing growth and land investment in this area are:
Kingman is becoming nationally recognized as a great place for solar power and and solar development. We have four projects already slated for Mohave County. Reasons for solar companies to consider us for solar development here are: key transmission line infrastructure is already in place, 354 days of sun each year, and very flat land at affordable prices. Most of hte projects slated will use a solar thermal design, with parabolic mirrors concentrating the sun's rays on central tubes carrying a liquid salt solution. The heated salt is piped to a central facility to generate steam and turn generators.
Perhaps one of the most exciting projects scheduled for the growth of Kingman, the White Hills area, Gateway acres and Golden Valley is the long anticipated completion of the Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge that is to be finished in October of 2010. Long haul semi traffic will once more be allowed on Highway 93 between Kingman and Las Vegas and the driving time will be cut immensely between the two cities. Below is a conceptual photo of how the final project will appear.

Development of the eastern side of town is drawing many residents in. There is the new 75 million dollar, 200,000 square foot Hualapai Mountain Medical Center which when opened will provide high acuity hospital care. There is also a new middle school right on Airway that will continue to provide quality education to Kingman's residents.
The infamous Duval Mine at mineral park has re-opened after a large hiatus and will employ up to 300 employees again to mine gold, copper, Kingman turqoise and silver. In the second quarter of 2008 they will see Mineral Park producing 56 million pounds of copper, 10 million pounds of molybdenum and 600,000 ounces of silver per year for the first 10 years of the projected 25 year mine life.
